“We wanted to personally take the time to thank you & your families for the generosity & hospitality towards our son Dylan. Julie & I would have never been able to expose Dylan to a trip like this without the help from your foundation. We have noticed an immense improvement in Dylan, & feel it has changed him forever.”

"Hello! My name is Adrian and I am a camper at Camp Iron Sights. I can't even imagine what I would've been doing if I wasn't here and I just don't know where to begin to thank you for this experience. This short and brief week has taught me so much and I've met so many new people that i consider close friends which for me is hard to do. This camp has brought me to a totally new perspective and level of life. It's totally wonderful and unique experience that i will never forget and for that I can't thank you enough. the people I've met here, counselors and campers alike, have really been beyond amazing, I've cared for people I never thought I'd care for and I'm so much happier because of it. these skills and lessons are engraved in my mind and heart and so are the people, which is why I must again say thank you so very much for contributing and making this happen. There's a saying we have here "shoot for the moon and you may just hit a star", well I've always had my dream-my moon, but after being here I'm not afraid to aim my sights and pull the trigger. One day I'll hit my dream, climb my Everest, and be more. So one final time I have to say thank you.
~ Sincerely Adrian, Age 17, Anchorage, AK
“The 15 days that I spent at Rainy Pass Lodge was extremely fulfilling. I enjoyed the trip a lot because it was not only a good time but it helped me overcome challenges that have formed over the last couple times I have been in group projects. I enjoyed every day out there and spending time with Steve II & Carly. The camp was well organized and I enjoyed all the fun activities. I hope to return in the future.”

“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to come out to Alaska and take in all these experiences. I had so much fun with my cabin mates and everyone else at Rainy Pass Lodge. This was once in a lifetime. The best experience I had was probably when we went horseback riding. I learned so much about myself and others while here, like dealing with my Asperger's and that I am a natural cowboy.”

“I spent 7 exciting months up at the Perrins’ Rainy Pass Lodge working for the Perrins family in 2011 and to this day have had some of the best experiences of my life there. I learned so much while working there, like how to take care of the horses, keep up on the maintenance that needed to be addressed, and most importantly how to take pride in my work. The 5 Perrins boys know what working hard means and it was always a challenge to keep up with them, but what I never realized at the time was that they were helping me become a harder worker myself, and that is a life lesson that is invaluable. It is something I take with me wherever I go. I really loved working in the Alaskan wilderness and getting that kind of experience is something you can’t find very often. I would recommend anyone to take a trip to Rainy Pass Lodge it is a truly beautiful place surrounded by great people!”

"What I enjoy most out there is the amount of camaraderie you feel. It doesn’t matter if you’ve known someone your entire life or just met them on the flight out there. You always seem to be able to pull together and accomplish what you set your mind to. I also enjoy the feelings of self-reliance and discipline you attain by being there."
